Sonoran Sunrise
Newborn Care

Hi, I'm Alyssa, and I founded Sonoran Sunrise Newborn Care in 2024 to help families in the East Valley thrive after their baby is born. I provide professional in-home newborn support as a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula, sometimes called a night nanny, baby nurse, or newborn doula.I've worked with children since 2016, including those with complex behavioral and medical needs, and have specialized in infants and toddlers since 2022. I focus on evidence based newborn care, infant sleep support, and parent coaching.I have trained with Newborn Care Solutions, NewbornIQ, and the US Nanny Institute. I continue to pursue professional education to offer the best care possible. If you are looking for overnight newborn care, sleep conditioning, or daytime coaching, I would be happy to help your family.

Wondering what it’s like to hire a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)? Below are answers to some of the most common questions families ask about overnight newborn care, sleep support, scheduling, and what to expect. I serve families in Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, and surrounding areas.

What does a newborn care specialist do during the night?

I handle tasks like feeding, diapering, soothing, and monitoring your baby so you can rest.

When should we hire a newborn care specialist?

It’s best to schedule ASAP, as I tend to book up, but don’t hesitate to reach out even if your baby has already arrived—I may have an opening!

Do you offer in-home consultations before a contract starts?

Yes, I do!

What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

I require a small retainer upon scheduling. I’m flexible where possible, but last-minute cancellations may result in me keeping the retainer.

Do you work with multiples (twins, triplets, etc.)?

Yes, I do!

What qualifications or certifications do you have?

I’m certified in Infant CPR/First Aid, a Newborn Care Specialist from Newborn Care Solutions and Newborn IQ, and I hold an advanced nanny certification from the US Nanny Institute. I also have fingerprint clearance, a food handler’s card, and Arizona Article 9 training.

Do overnight newborn care providers sleep?

Yes, unless you request awake care, which comes at an additional cost. I sleep while your baby sleeps.

How many nights per week do most families book?

I recommend 4–6 nights per week.

How can I learn more about your pricing?
